This is all I know. Two massive tapering cables of diamondoid dangle down from GEO space station. They are protected from high winds near Earth by a massive tower. Solar panels in space generate power to run linear motors in the cable and cars with permanent superconducting magnets fly up and down the cable like mag-lev train cars at 3000 mph to reach GEO in seven or eight hours. Descending cars generate electricity in the linear motor or generator coils to run ascending motor for the sake of efficiency. Thousands of cars ride up and down every day. |
